Connecting all Americans to broadband: More than a goal, it's an emerging reality, thanks to the FCC’s Connect America Fund.
The challenge is reaching and serving some of the least populated and most remote areas between two oceans, many of which are located in Windstream’s rural footprint.
Quite simply, it is not possible to overcome the expense of building affordable and quality broadband for consumers living in areas that are sparsely populated, remote, and topographically challenging to reach without government support to help cover the cost. Enter the Connect America Fund. It is filling the gap between “desired” and “done.”
Thanks to the FCC and lawmakers for enabling providers like Windstream to build and maintain excellent broadband services people can afford.
