Windstream Closes Sale of Senior Notes Due 2019 and Amends Senior Bank FacilityLITTLE ROCK, Ark – Windstream Corporation (NYSE: WIN) today announced that it has successfully completed its previously announced offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of its 7 percent senior notes due 2019. The proceeds from the sale of the senior notes were used to prepay approximately $500 million of amounts outstanding under the term loan portion of Windstream's senior secured credit facilities.
Windstream also announced today that it has completed the amendment and restatement of its senior secured credit facilities. Windstream amended and restated its senior secured credit facilities to, among other things, reduce the interest rate payable under tranche B of the term loan portion of the facilities, modify the pre-payment provisions, modify certain covenants to permit the consummation of the previously announced split-off of its directory publishing business and make other specified changes.
